How do you increase your child’s vocabulary in a second language in a fun way? My kids created a game based on lists in categories (things that are yellow, kinds of dessert, etc.) — the goal is for their siblings to figure out what items are on their list! The kids have a blast brainstorming possible items that could be on the list and it is a great way for them to build vocabulary at the same time! We did English, character and pinyin versions for each of the lists. By the end, the kids expanded their vocabulary in topics that don’t come up often in our lives (how often does the word octopus come up?) We will continue to add to our category game, but for now, here are a few for your family to enjoy!
